While he was carrying vegetables in the kitchen of Genoan residence in Galata, he met the English servant Fox and by courtesy of this man his life had changed substantially. They hung around the winehouses of Galata together and the stories of the lands he never heard before, had totally spoilt his careless personality. After Fox left İstanbul, his monotonous days in which he continued carrying leek, imagining the vegetables that he didn't even know how they'd been called, were back.
