TAVŞAN OSMAN
( köçek )
Although he didn't have a huge body, he wrestled in the Şuca
dervish lodge (on the way of Unkapanı, across from the Selvi
bakery) for years but then because of the fragility of his soul
he developed a passion for dancing and because he couldn't endure
the curious gazes of his friends, he changed his neighbourhood
and hung around the köçek coffee houses. It's not certain who
nicknamed him as Tavşan but he'd been known as Tavşan Osman for
a long time and he was famous with his voice. With the sudden
and causeless death of his wife, he gave away dancing and after
a few ramadans he took two young concubines and had five chidren.
